Circular Thinking: Gone. Back To Work

Fubiz.com
I would like to find this path and own it, having my great, great and super great grandchildren own it. There would be some kind of will saying it must remain in the family forever, never to be sold, just like in the movies. Somehow George Clooney found a loophole to sell one of these magical, family properties in a movie recently. At the end of the movie he didn’t sell the property after all, realizing what I am realizing now. We need a green piece of grass to follow so that we can rest our breath, eyes and ears and get away from it all.
What is “it” that we need to get away from now and again?
For me, “It” is anything that is not green, where the sky and trees are hidden, and there’s wifi. I can work and plan and start to spin, and forget to unwind. Working wound up, well that makes my voice anxious, my computer forget to save things, and my need for snacks become an emergency.
Papers, phones, 23 emails, 9 text messages, 15 apps to be updated. Where can you go? What can you do to get a break?
1.) Place heels on desk edge and push hard.
2.) Chair rolls back really fast
3.) Jump off and find the nearest door
4.) Drive or run until you find the nearest green patch of grass to follow
5.) Stay
6.) Listen to the quiet, smell the air, look at the sky.
7.) Breathe.
8.) Repeat 6 thru 8 until you forget where you work or what you do
When will I take my own advice?
Taking a break and going outdoors, looking out a window, thinking about a porch you will sit on, tree you will sit under or park you can visit during lunch brings the dollars in.
Nature has its magical way of sucking out the spinning thoughts in our business heads and replacing it with….NOTHING. Air, breathing and imperfect, natural beauty.
Go outside!
Now.
