HAIR

hair
i want her hair
if i had her hair
my life would be
perfect
well maybe not
perfect
but
close

her hair
is long
undone
waved around
by the wind
slept on
with a
non-silk
pillowcase
hair shaken
not stirred
untouched

i want her hair
the kind that says
i don’t care
i’m living life
my way
no dye no style
no cut no color
no wig no weave
no thought
at all

the roll out of
bed
brush teeth
splash water on
face
and slip on
a clean
new
white t-shirt
and some of
yesterday’s outfit
left on the chair
hair that you
know
can take you
far and wide
magnetizing
everyone
and
everything
you ever didn’t
even dream of.

what did she
do
to her hair
nothing
it is how it is
like life
wake up
rinse out
wash off
shake
and
go
just
fucking
go
